Bottom Shop started life as a Joiners workshop, along Elterwater's main village street. Perfectly located for walking in all directions or just strolling to the 'local' at then end of the street, well situated for visiting the areas attractions too. Bottom Shop's cosy and traditional style has kept people coming back year on year.

Wayside cottage is very warm and welcoming. Although it is a very old house - a Grade II Listed Building, almost four hundred years old with numerous exposed oak beams and slate floors - it has been modernised to a high standard of comfort whilst retaining its period charm. Many of our visitors return year after year.

Situated in the centre of Elterwater near the Britannia Inn, Rose cottage offers comfortable accommodation for 4 people. A front patio area overlooking the village Bowling green, means you can really feel part of village life, or for a little privacy the elevated rear garden is a relaxing space to sit and read a book on a summers evening.

On the edge of the village of Chapel Stile stands a row of traditional Quarrymans cottages, built around 1870 to house workers in the nearby slate quarry and gunpowder works. Lovingly looked after by its owners Holly Tree Cottage is warm & comfortable with all you could need for a relaxing break. Combined with superb views across the valley towards Lingmoor and The Langdale Pikes it has been a favourite of visitors for many years.

A traditional Lakeland Farmhouse dating from the 1880's and situated in Chapel Stile in Great Langdale close to the Church, Shop and Wainwrights Inn. The Langdale Pikes stand proudly at the head of the valley and there are magnificent walks in every direction.

Daw Bank is right in the centre of Chapel Stile, a traditional slate fronted terraced house. Perfectly located for easy access to the shop and pub and bus link to Ambleside. During the 1890's, Daw Bank housed the first Langdale Valley Coop, now loved and cared for by the owners - Howard & Jen, it provides comfortable and spacious accommodation for 6, over 3 floors.
